Travis is doing really good. They are disconnecting the pacemaker today. The wires are still attached to him, but it is not connected to the power source that was on last week. He also got moved to a quieter area of the NICU so he will be able to get some better sleep in the next few days. The plan is still to move him to the IMU (Intermediate Medical Unit) as soon as a bed opens up.
The best news is that Travis is starting to build up stamina on his feeds. After consistently eating in the 20ml's the last couple of days, Travis hit 30ml yesterday. We thought that was a great jump for him, well he amazes us again today. He ate 40ml for the 9 oclock feed and 40ml again at noon. This is so great, because he needs to eat to go home. If he can get his stamina to 60ml consistently then they will possibley release him home. So keep those prayers going that Travis will continue to chow down on his yummy milk.
Take Care and have a good weekend.
